Stabilised Chlorine 20g Tablets

Chemical Name: Trichloroisocyanuric acid
Description: 20 gram chlorine tablets which contain a stabiliser to stop the chlorine in the pool being destroyed by sun light.
Sizes Available: 1kg, 2.5kg, 5kg, 10kg, 20kg (select below)

Dosing Instructions (Pool)

• Place tablets in the skimming basket or floating dispenser.
• Skimmer: 1 tablet per 5 cubic metres (1100 gallons) of pool water. It will take 3 to 5 days to dissolve.
• Floating Dispenser: Fill dispenser and adjust collar to get correct rate of dissolution. It will take 5 to 7 days to dissolve. Remove the dispenser when the pool is in use.
• NEVER place tablets directly into the pool as severe bleaching/staining may occur.
• If using a feeder or dispenser ensure that the tablets used are the same chemical (trichlorocyanuric acid). If another material has been used thoroughly wash the feeder out before adding tablets.
• Maintain a chlorine level of 1-3ppm and a pH level of 7.2-7.6 in your pool.

Dosing Instructions (Spa)

• Fill the floating dispenser and adjust the collar accordingly. The tablets will take 10-14 days to dissolve.
• Maintain a chlorine level of 2-4 ppm in your spa.

Multi-5 Chlorine Granules (for Pools and Spa's) 

Chemical Name: Sodium Dichloroisocyanurate, Copper Sulphate, Aluminium Sulphate.
Description: Sanitiser for Swimming Pools and Spas. Multi-5 Chlorine Granules function in the same way as standard Stabilised Chlorine Granules, however they are specially formulated to incorporate an algaecide and a flocculant.

Dosing Instructions (Pool):

• To increase the free chlorine by 1 part per million add one scoop (100 grams) per 50 cubic metres (10,000 gallons).
• Dissolve granules in warm water in a plastic bucket or place in skimming basket or strainer.
• If using a feeder or dispenser ensure that the granules used are the same chemical (Sodium Dichloroisocyanurate). If another material has been used wash the feeder out thoroughly before adding granules.
• Maintain a chlorine level of 1 to 3 ppm and a pH level of 7.2-7.6 in your pool.

Dosing Instructions (Spa):

• To increase the free chlorine by 2.5 parts per million add 5 grams (a teaspoon) per 1000 litres of spa water. Note: On average you should need approx. 1 teaspoon per person using the spa.
• Maintain a chlorine level of 2 to 4 ppm and a pH level of 7.2-7.6 in your spa.

• NEVER place tablets directly into the pool as severe bleaching/staining may occur.

20g Calcium Hypochlorite Tablets

Chemical Name: Calcium Hypochlorite

Dosing Instructions (Pool)

• Fill the dispenser with tablets and adjust the collar accordingly.
• Remove the dispenser when the pool is in use.
• Maintain a chlorine reading of 1 to 3 ppm.

DO NOT MIX ANY UN-STABILISED CHLORINE WITH STABILISED CHLORINE AS IT WILL EXPLODE.

Chlorine Shock (calcium hypochlorite granules)

Chemical Name: Calcium hypochlorite
Description: Un-stabilised chlorine granules that can be used as a shock treatment or a source of un-stabilised chlorine. All our Calcium Hypochlorite granules are packed in convenient 500 gram bags.

Dosing Instructions (Pool: Shock Treatment)

• Once a fortnight or more often in hot weather, boost your chlorine level using the shock granules.
• Add 500 grams (1 bag) (1 scoop = 100 grams) per 45 cubic metres (10,000 gallons) of pool water.
• The granules are dissolved in a bucket of warm water and distributed around the pool or poured into the skimmer basket. Make sure your skimmer basket is free from all other types of chlorine before pouring it in.
• At the start of the summer season or when algae is present it may be necessary to increase the dosage.
• Adjust the pH to between 7.2-7.6.
• Keep the filter free of debris and allow the water to circulate overnight. Allow the available chlorine level to drop below 3ppm before entering the pool. If this takes too long excess chlorine can be removed using a chlorine reducer Dechlorinator

Dosing Instructions (Pool: Chlorine Source)

• Add 75 grams per 10,000 gallons of pool water to increase the chlorine reading by 1 ppm.
• The granules are dissolved in a bucket of warm water and distributed around the pool or poured into the skimmer basket. Make sure your skimmer basket is free from all other types of chlorine before pouring it in.
• Maintain a chlorine reading of 1 to 3 ppm.

Bromine Tablets Chemical Function Dosing Method Benefits for Spas Bromo- chloro- dimethyl hydantoin (BCDMH) Sanitiser for spas. Can be used as a sanitiser for pools as an alternative to chlorine. For spas place tablets in a floating dispenser. For pools bromine can be placed in the skimmer basket, dosed through a dispenser or used with a brominator. NEVER place directly into the pool or spa. (1) Less volatile at the high temperatures which spas operate. (2) Does not produce chlorine smells. (3) Slow dissolving so they will provide a constant bromine dose at all times. (4) Reduces the amount of manual dosing needed.   Chemical Name: Bromo-chloro-dimethyl-hydantoin (BCDMH). Description: A Bromine tablet about 1 inch across used in brominators or floating dispensers.
